Now we have found mars to have traces of water vapor in the air.
And we know there is underwater resivoirs and ice caps with water that could possibly be used to sustain human life.
Mars has two moons, named Phobos and Deimos.
Phobos eclipses mars about 13,000 times a year!
However they only last about 20 seconds.
Mars's gravity is about 38% less than earths gravity
While earth is 1.0 Astronomical units away from the sun, mars is standing at 1.5 AU away.
Unlike earths tilt of 23.5 degres, Mars has a tilt of 25 degrees
Mars's days are actually a bit longer, with every one taking 24.6 hours to complete a whole rotation.
And one year on mars is A LOT longer, taking a whole 687 earth days!
Mars is about half the size of earth.
Mars's atmosphere is primarily composed of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and argon gasses. This is different from earths atmosphere which is primarily nitrogen and oxygen.
Mars is actually quite a bit colder then earth(due to its distance from the sun) and its temperature can range from -225 Fahrenheit all the way to 70 Fahrenheit
Mars is one of the most explored bodies in our solar system
Mars is the second closest planet to earth.
Now i think if we prepped mars properly by setting up atmosphere structures to host us, and we brought over animals and allowed them to get accustomed to the planet.
And we would have to build pumps to pump out the water from underneath its surface
Then we could most likely live on mars if it was needed.
Another advantage is since we have explored Mars so much we know a lot about it, unlike some of the exoplanets further out in our galaxy.
However, I also truly belive that we should take as much care of our planet before we worry about going and trashing a different one.
